Summer

Yes, it's December. Yes, I'm never up to date on this blog and never will be. However,  I'm probably the only one who reads this anyway!

Summer- my favorite time of year. Staying up late, playing outside, swimming, neighborhood strolls, movies, ice cream, tractor rides, flip-flops, warmth, sundresses, baby legs, gardening, Barbie car rides, Lagoon, fireworks, BBQs... just a few reasons I enjoy those three blissful months. My mom always tells the kids to take a picture of the fireworks in their minds so they can think about it in the middle of the cold and snow. I think that's what gets me through dreaded winter! I've said it before and I'll say it again- I truly despise wintertime. I like the snow for Christmas, but beyond that, not so much. So looking at these pictures of summer memories will help keep me sane over these next months!

Lots of pictures- they say it much better than I can!

We spent a lot of time at Lagoon this year! The girls got really brave! Isabelle's favorite ride was Wicked! Ruby loved the Ladybug Bop and Bombora!

Even sneaked Gavin on a couple of rides!
Popsicles, tractor rides, and snuggling with Papa- that's what Sundays are all about!

Drive-in movie. Not super comfy, but lots of fun!
Love their expressive eyes in this. One of my fave pics of the summer!
The kiddos LOVED swimming this summer, especially in my aunt's wonderful pool!

One for her wedding video!
Fun at the fair!

We rode the front runner to SL one day and spent the day at City Creek and Temple Square. Such a fun day!

The outtake shots
My favorite!
My sassy little lady!

We had a super fun little mini vacation to Park City. We took a train ride in Heber, rode the Alpine Slide, shopped, swam, and just played!

And just one last shot of my handsome boys at the Brigham City Temple open house.

Love me some summer.

Newbies

I was just looking at Gavin's newborn pictures and noticed I never posted them. I just had to. It's amazing how much a little person can grow and change in just seven months!

He was (and still is) such a sweet little nugget!

And So It Begins

School, I mean. For my sweet little kindergartener. Kind of the beginning of a never-ending process. As I say at least every other day, "how did this happen?" My baby- growing up.

Isabelle absolutely loves school! She goes in the afternoon which works out best for us. Isabelle is definitely not a morning person. She loves to stay up late and sleep in (as in go to bed after 10:30 and sleep til 10). She likes to lie around and watch some TV before breakfast. It takes a while to get her moving. Trying to wake her up early- ever- is a not fun. Needless to say, I'm considering this our last year of freedom. Next year will be rough.

I love hearing the stories about school. The yellow table (her table) talking about what they're grounded from. The games they play at recess and who caught her in tag. Who got in trouble. What so and so wore. (She is so my daughter and can tell you exactly what a person was wearing and how their hair was done.) We like to use dinnertime as Isabelle's time to fill us in on her day.

Ruby sure misses Sissy. They may spend part of each morning fighting, but it's been tough on her to have Isabelle gone. We spent the first week walking Isabelle in to school with Ruby wearing her backpack. We had to play on the toys and every time we take her in, Ruby has to use the potty. It's just her size! She is so excited to go to school next year, though she wishes she could go now. (I'm very glad she's still too little!) We get lots of dates so that's fun!

One of my very favorite parts of each day is picking Isabelle up. I stand by the car cause my other kiddos are usually asleep. When Isabelle spots me, she runs full speed toward me, weaving in and out of people, and jumps into my arms and hugs and kisses me! I take full advantage of this. It makes me so happy and I'm going to enjoy it while she'll still do it!

Gavi Boy

I love the faces Gavin pulls. He is so expressive! I snapped these pictures of him the other day and got so many different looks in about a minute. I love this little guy :)

He loves grinding his new teeth together. I'm not a fan!
Daddy is SO funny! Love that huge grin.
