Our Sweet Little Ruby

Ruby is three weeks old today! So quick! She is the most precious little girl! She is such a good baby. She only cries for food! She is a big eater! She lost 13 ounces in the hospital, and gained back 18 ounces over the next twelve days. She's in the 50th percentile for her height, weight, and head size. I wonder if she'll end up as chubby as Isabelle was as a baby. Isabelle was always in the 95th percentile for weight! Ruby has brought so much happiness into our home in such a short amount of time.

Isabelle absolutely loves Ruby. I was a little worried about how she would be with a new one around, but she's done great. She takes such good care of her! She says such cute things to her. You'll often hear her say, "It's okay, Isabelle's here," or "Sissy's here." She calls her honey a lot. I heard her whisper to Ruby, "you're my best friend ever baby." So sweet! She occasionally comes in our room in the night just to check on the baby. She can't wait til Ruby can take a bath with her. She loves to hold and cuddle her. She loves me to take pictures of them together.

Everything is going great for us! We feel so blessed this Christmas season to have a new healthy baby in our home! Except for lack of sleep, we are all doing very well!

Isabelle and Ruby had their three year and two week doctor appointments the same day.
Isabelle has never been a fan of the doctor. This is the first time she was well-behaved. The doctor always givs her a book because he knows how much she hates coming. She's hated it since her very first appointment! Isabelle weighed 31 lbs (50th %) and was 38 inches tall (75th %).

Ruby was great at the doctor. Her personality is much more mild than Isabelle's! She weighed in at a whopping 8 lbs 3 oz and was 20 1/4 inches long.
