Happy Birthday Baby!

Last week was James' 27th birthday! It was a really fun day! He finally got the Ipod he's been begging for, so he was very happy!

I just want him to know what a wonderful husband and dad he is. He is such a hard worker. He never complains about anything. He loves being with Isabelle and me. He is a very strong person and always makes life so much fun. We love being with him! He makes me a better person and he is always trying to make my life easier. He is very selfless. He has so many strengths and talents that he brings to our marriage and I am thankful for him every day. Most of all, he makes me laugh! I love him so much! Happy Birthday my Big Sexy Man! You are the best!

Hee Haw! The Utah State Fair

The smell of swine, the trodding of horses, the taste of any food imaginable deep fried; yes, I'm talking about the fair! We love to go to the Utah State Fair! It's just so much fun! In fact, we went twice this year, plus James and I went down for the Chris Cagle concert, which was so awesome!

One of our favorite things at the fair is the "Little Hands on the Farm". Isabelle loved it. They have the kids do all sorts of fun little things. She got to milk a cow, plant a seed, drive a tractor, and all kinds of farm chores. At the end, the kids take all of their supplies that they have grown on the farm to the market and they get pretend money which they then get to spend on a treat at the little store. That was Isabelle's favorite part.

We love to go on the giant yellow slide. The thing is huge! James took Isabelle once, and she laughed and cried the entire ride. She bawled at the end though and wouldn't go again. James and I raced down, and of course, I won!

Last year Isabelle rode a pony- because she was too little to know any better. This year, she loved to look at and talk to the ponies, but she was not about to let go of her daddy to ride one! All of Isabelle's cousins loved the pony ride. My niece Brielle was the funniest, bopping her head up and down as the horse trodded. Isabelle loved all of the animals though- the goats, cows, horses, and pigs.

This year we had a really fun experience when we made James volunteer to get hypnotized. It was hilarioius! I was so nervous the entire time that he would do something that would completely embarrass me! He did many embarrassing things, but nothing that would keep me from making him do it again! One of my favorite parts of the show was when every time they would play a certain song, he and another guy would go running towards each other in slow motion and then hug! I also loved when they were all professional body builders and James jumped around with his back towards the audience and flexed his tooshie! He was so funny to watch! He's not much of a reserved person as it is, so you can imagine how loose he was during his performance! Good thing we took lots of pictures and even bought a DVD of the event so we can show our grandchildren!

So if you haven't been to the fair in a long time, or ever, I highly recommend going next year! It's now a family tradition for us. I'm already looking forward to going again next year!

So excited to see the animals!

Our Family

Park City

A few weeks ago we took an end-of-summer weekend trip up to Park City. We shared a condo with my parents and we had a great time! We shopped, ate, went to the Alpine Slides and rode the Alpine Coaster and the merry-go-round, rode a gondola to the top of the mountain at the Canyons Resort, and just had a lot of fun!

So Enchanting!

So, what have we been up to lately? Just watching Enchanted! Over and over and over again! Isabelle is obsessed with this movie! She would watch it all day if she could. It's so strange, because until just recently, she wouldn't even watch any TV or movies, except Sesame Street every now and then. Now all she wants to do is watch Enchanted and nothing else! She says, "I want AaAaAaAaAa!" As you might be able to tell, this is part of one of the songs from the movie. She sings and dances along throughout the entire movie. In fact, she is now dreaming about the movie! This morning when she was sleeping, she burst into her favorite song and then said, "oh dear!" just like Giselle says it! The problem with all of this is that we are getting pretty tired of Enchanted. Well, at least James is. I can watch this movie over and over just like Isabelle because I think it's great! The thing is, as soon as we get in the car, we have to turn on the Enchanted soundtrack and listen to it everywhere we go. We just can't escape it! If it's not on, Isabelle flips out. Anyway, I know every word to every song, and every word of the entire movie. If you ever have any questions about this movie, I am an expert. Isabelle saves her best twirls for dancing to the Enchanted songs and there is nothing cuter than her dancing. Actually, for months now, all I've had to do to get her to show off her dance moves for people is start singing the first line of "How Does She Know?" That song can easily get you in a good mood! As for James, I know he secretly loves watching and listening to this stuff over and over. How do I know? He won't quit singing the songs either!

Bethany & Dustin's Wedding

On August 16th, my sister-in-law, Bethany, got married! The wedding was held at the Eccles Art Center in Ogden. It was such a pretty wedding. Bethany looked so beautiful! They were both just glowing and looked so happy. They are such a cute couple and we wish them a beautiful life!

Here are some pictures my father-in-law took.
