And So It Begins

School, I mean. For my sweet little kindergartener. Kind of the beginning of a never-ending process. As I say at least every other day, "how did this happen?" My baby- growing up.

Isabelle absolutely loves school! She goes in the afternoon which works out best for us. Isabelle is definitely not a morning person. She loves to stay up late and sleep in (as in go to bed after 10:30 and sleep til 10). She likes to lie around and watch some TV before breakfast. It takes a while to get her moving. Trying to wake her up early- ever- is a not fun. Needless to say, I'm considering this our last year of freedom. Next year will be rough.

I love hearing the stories about school. The yellow table (her table) talking about what they're grounded from. The games they play at recess and who caught her in tag. Who got in trouble. What so and so wore. (She is so my daughter and can tell you exactly what a person was wearing and how their hair was done.) We like to use dinnertime as Isabelle's time to fill us in on her day.

Ruby sure misses Sissy. They may spend part of each morning fighting, but it's been tough on her to have Isabelle gone. We spent the first week walking Isabelle in to school with Ruby wearing her backpack. We had to play on the toys and every time we take her in, Ruby has to use the potty. It's just her size! She is so excited to go to school next year, though she wishes she could go now. (I'm very glad she's still too little!) We get lots of dates so that's fun!

One of my very favorite parts of each day is picking Isabelle up. I stand by the car cause my other kiddos are usually asleep. When Isabelle spots me, she runs full speed toward me, weaving in and out of people, and jumps into my arms and hugs and kisses me! I take full advantage of this. It makes me so happy and I'm going to enjoy it while she'll still do it!

I love that you love all the things I love..decorating, baking, making bows...and seriously YOU should come do my gardening cuz this is my first yr and I totally blew it.
